OUR HISTORY
Joy Art Music
Before ‘Lavesh Music’, we were ‘Joy Art Music’, the premiere family owned and operated jingle production company. Founded in the early 80’s by Admen-couple Butch and Brenda Stewart, their credits include “We Love To See You Smile” for McDonalds, “Get With The Program” (featuring Patti Labelle), “Run On” for Oprah Winfrey, “Oh-oh-oh, it’s The Tom Joyner Morning Show” for syndicated radio host Tom Joyner, “Spud Mackenzie” for Bud Lite, and the infamous “Ba-da-ba-ba-bah, I’m Lovin’ It” for McDonalds. This legacy company rebranded as Good Stewart Productions in 2007 and Lavesh Music in 2017.
Get With The Program
One of our biggest highlights as a company and as song-writers, is the work we did for “Get With The Program” (featuring Patti Labelle) and “Run On” for Oprah Winfrey’s network television show. These campaigns ran a combined 15 years.

The Ultimate Family Biz
Good Stewart’s first and original web series was entitled “The Ultimate Family Biz”; the story of Butch, Brenda, and their teenage sons Leslie and Brandon working together to build and develop their record label/ jingle company. The series sits modestly on Youtube as one of the first shows to feature a family working together in the music industry, while seeking therapy to help strengthen there family bond.
The Ultimate Family Biz went on to inspire shows such shows as Fox’s “Empire”, VH1’s “A Family Business” featuring Brandy and Ray J, and a plethora of others.
Heavenly Chior
In May of 2017 our beloved founder and CEO Morris ‘Butch’ Stewart transitioned. This was not just a shock to his family, but all the creative people he was able to inspire throughout the years. His way with people, his giving spirit, and his heart for music and media will never be forgotten.

“I always imagined running the family business…I just never saw it without Dad being around. We I’m in the studio singing … sometimes I can hear him whisper …”That last note was a little sharp” (said in love of course) - Leslie Stewart, CEO
FINDING Brenda Mitchell
Today, Brenda misses Butch dearly while supporting the family as they continue their legacy. She feels blessed to have had such a fun and long-lasting relationship. Brenda remembers all the magic and music they both shared spanning a extraordinary 48 years.
“Butch is my forever love. I will always love him. I’m going to work on me, and one day I believe I’ll see him again.” - Brenda Mitchell Stewart
The legend of “Frantique” is a project she champions with the help of Lavesh Music. It’s the epic tale of her chart-topping disco-smash throwback, she discovered only recently.
In the 70’s a young Brenda Mitchell traveled to Paris to sing some demos. Years later she would discover they became hits. .

Brand New Morning
At the top of the millennium, ‘Joy Art’ became Good Stewart Productions; a media company focused on original music-based content. Our Pillsbury ad “Brand New Day”, featuring gospel megastars Mary Mary was the creation of a production template now widely used by some the industries top agencies. This concept has been duplicated by brands such as Allstate and Nationwide.
Oh-oh-oh!
Little known fact: Joy Art Music is also the “Tom Joyner Morning Show” spin-off entity known as “Uncle Butches Live House”, or UBLH. This jingle-singing web-series featured a cast of musicians, singers, and rappers performing live and pre-recorded tracks to the tune of “Oh-oh-oh, it’s The Tom Joyner Morning Show”. This bit transformed us into syndicated radio house-band royalty. We were in production from 1994 to 2020.

The ‘Live House’ was the shows staple. Each week a talent would grace the Live House stage. It Was one of the very first independently owed interactive sound stages; complete with advance lighting systems, cameras, psych wall, and a fully functional recording studio just across the hall.
THROWBACKS
From Ashford & Simpson to Earth Wind & Fire, Butch and Brenda Stewart have created music for some of the greatest to do it.
Lavesh Revelation
In 2017, Good Stewart Productions became Lavesh Music, an internet based media company designed and operated by Butches sons Leslie, Brandon, and daughter in-law Keir. In his honor, Lavesh Music continues trailblazing the music and media tradition; producing spots such as “Today is Saturday” for Michelle Obama/ AdCouncil, “McNuggets Love” for McDonald’s, “Going Places” for Toyota, “Change & Harmony” for Coke and many more.
“McNuggets Love” remains an urban ad classic. With over million views on YouTube, this McR&B jam went viral and remains a hit that still has people singing “Don’t be stingaaaay”.
The McDonalds favorite “Freestyle” features Lavesh Music CEO Leslie Stewart at the beginning of his ad career. This spot was also the starting point for mega-pop-star Omarion.
Lavesh Music will always pay homage to the accomplishments of Butch and Brenda Stewart. Their legacy lives on through Lavesh Music, already paving a way for young creative entities everywhere.
“I use to think we had huge shoes to fill. Now I know Dad just wants us to create, and be free….”
